Community is the cornerstone of the Internet. E-commerce
may get all the press, but communication among like and not so like-minded individuals is
what keeps the Net alive. This particular community of
Internet Brothers will remain free of the trappings of commercialization. It will
instead be a focused collection and forum for the little guy to open and expand his mind. The IB Community takes two forms. Original, creative
content from folks just like you and me, and a "Talk Back"
forum where you can express your opinions and generate discussion on a variety
of topics. Addicted to the Internet? Let's talk. Experiencing streams of web
consciousness? You fit right in. Here is but a small smattering of what you will
find in the IB Community: "the color of my web is not orange as if that matters
and the limited colors we can safely use is enough to amuse boring people looking for
excitement in places run by the man who stands aside watching us bask in the glory he
created for his own whim it's him we should be watching out for even though he owns
the store we go to every day trying to deal with the hunger and lack of warmth that
makes us human" Joe "Television really does suck these days, but when
did that start? Hmmm. Suddenly golf and camping and day-trips have become too
expensive. No, actually they've become too time consuming. I had a second phone line
installed at home dedicated to the modem. Now I wish I still only had one, so the
dang voice line would QUIT RINGING! I have longer conversations via email with people
I've never met than I do on the job with folks I've known for 25 years."
Jeff "Some of the old songs, Sam. Yes, spoken by Ingrid
Bergman to Dooley Wilson in the film Casablanca. What are the old songs?
Old songs are any songs older than the new songs. (Who said you had to be a genius to
understand these things?) The old songs are the songs we remember from our youth (any
year prior to this year when we suddenly aged) to which we attach strong emotions and
events." Ron So, what are you waiting for? Pull up a chair, turn
on the coffee and your favorite tunes, slip off your shoes and take a stroll through
IB Community. Mileage may vary. Remove lid before
use. Refrigerate after opening. |
